With Extended Lifetime Coverage

This warranty is issued by the manufacturer and applies to all new SunStar swimming pool collectors and components INSTALLED BY A DULY AUTHORIZED SUNSTAR DEALER on the premises owned by the original purchaser. The collectors are warranted against internal freezing as long as they have been installed in strict compliance with SunStar’s published installation guidelines.

Term

The manufacturer warrants that all unglazed, low temperature swimming pool collectors and components will be free from defect in materials and workmanship in the manufacturing process under normal use and service for a period of twelve (12) years from the date of initial installation when purchased from and properly installed by an AUTHORIZED DEALER. If a defect becomes evident within (12) twelve years from the date of installation, the collector or component will be repaired or, at the manufacturer’s option, replaced within a reasonable amount of time without charge for the equipment and/or labor. The replacement will be of at least equal value to the collector being replaced. SunStar collectors and components will be subject to the terms, conditions and limitations listed below:

1. Components or parts not manufactured by SunStar are not covered by this warranty.
2. SunStar collectors not installed in strict compliance to published SunStar installation procedures and guidelines will not be warranted.
3. SunStar collectors must be installed according to all applicable ordinances and codes.
4. The SunStar warranty does not cover damage that results from any misuse, abuse, neglect, accident, alterations or acts of God.
5. In no event shall the manufacturer’s liability exceed the purchase price of the collector.
6. The SunStar warranty applies to the original purchaser and is not assignable or applicable to subsequent owners.
7. There are no implied warranties of merchantability or implied warranty of fitness which extends beyond the description of face thereof.

Repair or Replacement

If a defect in a SunStar collector becomes evident during the warranty period, a factory-authorized representative will repair or replace the collector within a reasonable amount of time and in accordance with SunStar’s published repair procedures. If the manufacturer elects to replace the collector, it will be replaced with a collector of at least the same value as the replaced collector. An authorized SunStar Dealer must provide ALL service. Extended Lifetime Limited Warranty

SunStar collectors carry a Lifetime Limited Warranty. Any SunStar Collector found to be defective in material or workmanship subsequent to the initial Full Twelve Year (12) Warranty will be replaced, so long as the original purchaser pays fifty percent (50%) of the published collector list price at the time the replacement is required. No labor, removal, reinstallation, or shipping costs will be covered by the manufacturer after the expiration of the original Twelve Year (12) warranty.

Consequential and Incidental

In no event shall the manufacture or any entity affiliated with SunStar be liable for damage to property, lost profits, injury, injury to goodwill, or any other special incidental or consequential damages resulting from the defective SunStar collector or system, or any breech of the expressed warranty, for negligence or otherwise. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state so some of the above may not apply to you.

Proof of Purchase

It is the responsibility of the consumer to establish the original purchase date for warranty purposes. We recommend that a bill of sale, canceled check, or some other appropriate payment record be kept for that purpose. If the system is registered within 10 days of installation at www.sunstarsolar.com, the electronic registration confirmation is the only future proof of purchase necessary. The completion of the Online System Registration Form is a condition precedent to coverage under this warranty.
